Sahara Byrne was invited to talk at the Berkman Center at Harvard University.  Her talk, titled "Parent versus Child: Reports of Internet Behaviors and Support for Strategies to Prevent Negative Effects of Online Exposure" can be found here.  She was also invited to a National Canadian Broadcasting Company: Spark- which is a blog, radio, podcast and ongoing conversation about technology and culture. You can listen to her podcast about strategies families can use to best protect children from negative effects of online behavior.

 

0790_09_453Tarleton Gillespie will be consulting with Microsoft Reseach in Cambridge this month. He was invited by Danah Boyd to bring his expertise on social media and policy to the corporate research group.  He will also be presenting his work at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, titled "The Politics of Platforms" at Harvard while in the Boston area.  You can listen to his program here.
