| Dr. Lois Levitan conducts applied research and outreach relating to environmental and health risks. Her focus is on building capacity among laypeople, policy-makers, and the media for understanding the framework of risk analysis and concepts relating to environmental and health risk. |

| Recent projects include: |

promoting life-cycle stewardship of agriculture plastics,
pesticide risk assessment and communication of environmental and health risks, associated with pesticides,
risk factors for emerging infectious diseases, particularly West Nile Virus, and energy and resource sustainability.
